About these articles

Families usually compare Silvie with something they already know: a pendant, a medical-alert watch, or doing nothing and calling every evening. These articles set them side by side and say where each one fits. Silvie is a radar sensor with nothing to wear and no camera.

Articles

• The pendant your parent won't wear. A medical alert button only helps if it's worn. Why it often ends up in a drawer, and what to use instead.
• Medical alert watch or home sensor? A watch and a home sensor do different jobs. How to choose, and why many families use both.
• Do you really need a subscription? Plenty of families want to avoid another monthly bill. Why home monitoring has a monthly fee.

What Silvie is not

Silvie sends alerts as push notifications through the Silvie app. It does not place phone calls, does not call 911, has no monitoring center and has no text message alerts today.

Trying it

The Care plan is free for the first 30 days and you can cancel anytime. Returns are accepted within 30 days and every sensor has a 1-year warranty.
